Switzerland Sketchbook

Old Savognin Bridge This single lane old bridge was the only link between upper and lower Savognin for hundreds of years. As numerous seasons passed and the thousands traveled across it, it withstood and offered it's service to cross safely, so here I painted it center stage in a quiet celebration of it's unannounced achievement. For this water color sketch I painted from location.

Alp Flix 1 Numerous small chapels dot the high alpine alps in Graubunden.  Like lone sentinels in a greater cathedral of magical nature they echo the feeling of unimportance and fragility one finds when comprehending such a fantastic vista.
